 I was privileged to stand alongside Lorna Roush, the California Women for Agriculture at the Boosters BBQ for Fresno State’s Ag Science department. She was recently named the 2021 Woman of the Year.

  • Adam Medeiros has been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place.

  

  • He has been an active member, volunteer, and business owner in Hanford for nearly 40 years and is currently serving his first term on the Kings County Board of Education. 


  • Prior to his election in 2018, Adam held a board position at

  • He has been an active member, volunteer, and business owner in Hanford for nearly 40 years and is currently serving his first term on the Kings County Board of Education. 


  • Prior to his election in 2018, Adam held a board position at Kings River-Hardwick Union School District. During his ten years with Kings River-Hardwick, the school has been a California Honor Roll School every year since 2014 and recently received the California Gold Ribbon Award.


  • He also served 25 years on the Executive Board of Koinonia Church.


  • Adam has been a volunteer with the youth in the Jr. High ministry for decades, as well as being a mentor at Juvenile Hall and the California Youth Authority.


  • In addition, Adam has coached youth soccer and basketball for many years. 


  • Adam and his wife Amy have three (3) adult children and seven (7) grandchildren.

Adam is a man who does not look to men or government for approval, but lives by principles of their convictions and appeals to the Almighty for protection, provision and justice.


The famous Pine Tree Flag was in use during 1775 as an ensign. The flag was white with a green pine tree in the middle with the motto “An Appeal to Heaven”. The tree was a fitting type of the sturdy people of New England. This was the first ensign shown by an American man of war, and was raised on the Alfred in the Delaware, December, 1775 by John Paul Jones, a lieutenant under Commodore Hopkins. In a letter written by Colonel Reed, October 20, 1775, these words occur, “Please to fix some particular color for the flag, and a signal by which our vessels may know one another. What do you think of a flag with a white ground, a tree in the middle, the motto ‘Appeal to Heaven’?”
